Mr. Browder was one of the earliest members of BAN and has played an integral part in its strategic development. A 1976 Baylor graduate with a BBA in Accounting and Texas CPA, Bob's career started in accounting with the Arthur Andersen & Co. before he joined BFW Construction. During his time with BFW, Bob held numerous positions including Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, Executive Vice President, President and member of the Board of Directors. In 1993, Bob led a management buy-out of BFW and operated it as a private company for ten years. Skanska USA acquired BFW in 2003 and retained Bob as Executive Vice President and Management Partner for Texas Operations. Bob retired in 2006 and currently works as a consultant to many corporations in the construction industry.
Bob resides in Temple with his wife Debbie (BA '76) where he is active with the Temple Bible Church. In addition, Bob serves on a number of civic and professional boards including as an Member of the National Board of Advisors for BBVA Compass Bank, the Chairman of the Board of the Temple Reinvestment Zone, a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Board of the Temple Economic Development Corporation, and an Advisory Board member of the Draughton-Miller Airport. Bob's extensive ties to the greater Temple area development movement, Scott & White Commercialization team, and the Centroplex Angel Network provide a great synergy for the Baylor Angel Network, Baylor University, and the Central Texas region.
