The MBC has a private room available to you for data analysis. This office is equipped with a new computer running Windows 7 with Microsoft Office. Currently there are two additional programs available on this computer for your use: Rotor-Gene ScreenClust HRM and Applied Maths BioNumerics v4.0 software.
Rotor-Gene ScreenClust HRM allows the analysis of high-resolution melting data from the MBC's Corbett Rotor-Gene 6000 q-PCR. User's manuals and support are available for those that would like to use this software. No special log-in or ID is required. Applied Maths BioNumerics is an expensive and powerful analysis and statistical tool available for use with a variety of data types and complex data sets. Images and profiles from 1-D gels, 2-D gels, sequencing data, microarray data, and phenotypic characters, among others, can be directly imported into the software for analysis. BioNumerics can also combine information obtained from your samples using a multitude of techniques/methods and create an integrated database that allows the statistical analysis of these complex samples. Powerful data comparison, exploration, visualization, and mining options are available as you analyze your data.
