University Staffer and Wife are Proud Parents of TripletsMarch 1, 2004
by David and Amber Burns
After a sudden and quick trip to the hospital at 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, we became proud parents of three incredibly beautiful little girls around 2:30 Sunday morning...
Aleah Karen, born Feb. 22 at 2:33 a.m.
Bella Ann, born Feb. 22 at 2:35 a.m.
Clara Sidney, born Feb. 22 at 2:37 a.m.
The birth announcement can be viewed online at http://www.baylor.edu/~David_Burns .
The girls were born via C-section at 32 1/2 weeks (that's about 7 1/2 weeks early) so they have received care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center here in Waco. They have needed a little help (but not much) breathing, a little treatment for jaundice, and of course they are being closely monitored, but they are doing very well under the excellent care of the staff in the NICU. The road ahead is yet to be determined; it could be from two to eight weeks in the NICU, so please say three little prayers for our three little girls as often as you think of them.
Mom Amber is recovering from an uncomplicated (for triplets, that is) C-section, and Dad David is recovering from a 36-hour day.
Thanks be to God for such abundant and wonderful gifts!!!
