New Baylor Cloud System to Help Simplify Everyday Tasks

Ignite-600

Ignite, Baylor’s new cloud-based financial, human resources and grants management system, is an extensive project that will affect faculty and staff across campus. By the time it releases in June 2020, every Baylor employee will use Ignite in some capacity. Faculty and staff will access Ignite for common tasks such as checking pay stubs, reviewing tax information, updating address information, viewing leave balances and submitting timecards (if applicable), among other financial and human resources functions.

As illustrated in the graphic of the system, there are many current systems that are being
replaced by, and consolidated into, Ignite. It is important to note that, at this time, the student systems are not being replaced.

At the end of April, the Ignite project team hosted a “Spring into Ignite” Fair to give the campus community an opportunity to hear about the new system from the project team and executive sponsors. It was attended by more than 400 University employees who got an early look at the Ignite system’s functionality, which was still being designed.

The next campus information session will be held November 12. All faculty and staff are invited to hear more about how they will use Ignite and the training sessions that will be offered in the spring to prepare employees before Ignite’s June 2020 release.
