Dr. Francis Joseph Beckwith, professor of philosophy and church-state studies, was named to Endowed Visiting Professorship in Conservative Thought and Policy at the University of Colorado at Boulder during 2016-2017; received “Excellence in the Study of Religion in the category of Constructive-Reflective Studies” award from American Academy of Religion on Nov. 26, 2016 for Taking Rites Seriously: Law, Politics, and the Reasonableness of Faith (Cambridge University Press 2015).
