Continuing Actions to Address Interpersonal Violence
Title IX Office
• Added full-time staff dedicated to prevention education and training, Title IX complaint investigation, and coordination of administrative needs
• Improved case management systems with technology for coordination
of care and support resources
Counseling Center
• Additional licensed counselors secured from the local community to provide an immediate increase in appointment availability of almost 20 percent
• Staffing capacity and protocols increased to provide students who have experienced interpersonal violence with timely, seamless assistance
• Weekly sexual assault survivor support programs created
• Training for all Counseling Center staff expanded to include the latest information about the treatment of individuals who have experienced trauma
• Expanded office space for counseling services is being designed Department of Public Safety
• Support staff added to help coordinate Clery Act compliance and training
• Campus building security officers who were previously distributed across campus consolidated into the Baylor Police Department to improve coordination and management
• Extended weekend patrols increased in the neighborhoods adjacent to campus
• Accreditation by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators will be pursued
Training
• Title IX training will be mandated for all upperclassmen and graduate
students in addition to the ongoing training provided incoming students
• Training for University faculty and staff will be required annually
• Continuing education for Title IX response, support and counseling
staff will be funded annually
