Gerard Zurawski, Ph.D.

Dr. Gerard Zurawski is an Investigator at the Baylor Institute for Immunology Research in Dallas. He received his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Sydney in 1977 and later served as Senior Director at the DNAX Research Institute at Palo Alto in California, where he worked on discovery and characterization of cytokines. Dr. Zurawski came to Baylor in 2004 to lead the Institute's efforts in targeting antigens to dendritic cell subsets for novel vaccine development. He has published more than 70 scientific papers in major journals. His research expertise includes molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, and protein engineering.
