Jiahuan Ding, M.D.
Dr. Jiahuan Ding is director for molecular genetics at the Baylor Institute of Metabolic Disease in Dallas. He received an M.D. from Henan Medical University in 1970 and a Ph.D. from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing in 1984. That same year he received a postdoctoral training fellowship award to the National Institutes of Health and Duke University in the first Sino-American human genetics exchange program, and then became an assistant professor at Duke University Medical Center in 1990 before coming to Baylor in 1995. Dr. Ding has authored more than 50 published articles, book chapters and abstracts. His research interests include molecular defects of fatty acid betaoxidation, diabetes and mesenchymal stem cell studies.
