Alex W. Tong, Ph.D.
Dr. Alex Tong is Associate Director of the Cancer Immunology Research
Laboratory at Baylor Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas. He received his
Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology at the Oregon Health Sciences
University in 1980, and studied Transfer Factor immunotherapy under Dr.
Denis Burger before coming to Baylor in 1982. Dr. Tong also serves as
Adjunct Associate Professor in the Immunology Graduate Program at UT
Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. Dr. Tong has published 52
monographs and articles in peer-reviewed journals, and over 85 abstracts
for presentation at national and international scientific conferences.
His current research interests are in the study of cancer molecular
pathogenesis, and the development of immunotherapeutics and molecular
therapeutics for human cancers.
