Research Interests
Tracy's research is in community ecology and involves investigating processes that influence the assembly of communities in nature. Specifically, she is studying factors affecting bird community assemblages in central Texas.

She is also using remote sensing technology to quantify environmental conditions that may affect birds in her study area. She plans on completing her PhD within in the next year or os, and then would like to continue research and teaching.
