Research Interests
Rebel is studying the upregulation of cortisol in developing
salmon and its correlation with acute and chronic environmental
stressors. She took a somewhat non-traditional route to the
Laboratory of Ecological and Adaptational Physiology (LEAP)
by spending 8 years teaching in a public school setting, and
another 6 years home-schooling her son and teaching at
home-schooling cooperatives.

Her interests have always included biology, so after her son's high school graduation she returned to school herself.
