WELCOME TO THE BEAR FOUNDATION FOR THE 2017-18 MEMBERSHIP YEAR

As a Bear Foundation member, you belong to a special community of Baylor’s most dedicated fans. You also get to enjoy many benefits, including priority access to Baylor football and basketball tickets, exclusive communications and members-only events – all while supporting more than 500 dedicated student-athletes on campus each year.

Your generosity helps offset the high cost of scholarships for Baylor student-athletes, along with many other costs associated with running an elite athletics program. From academics and athletic performance to spiritual growth and community involvement, your giving helps us as we strive to Prepare Champions for Life.

Our mission is to provide scholarship funds for Baylor's student-athletes and to support and promote the interest and welfare of Baylor Athletics.

BBF COMMUNICATIONS

Bear Foundation Feature Emails - Written by Director of Communications Jerry Hill, Feature emails are sent 2-3 times per week and highlight stories and achievements from Baylor's 19 intercollegiate sports teams. Special Features are sent once a week during the school year. This year, we will welcome back our fall feature "In the Huddle with Nick Florence" where former Baylor quarterback and Director of Development Nick Florence shares his insights for that week's Baylor Football match-up.

Insider Magazine - Insider Magazine is the official publication of the Baylor Bear Foundation mailed to Green Bear and higher ($400+) level members. The magazine is published four times per year. It features seasonal sports stories, Bear Foundation updates and inspiring stories of Baylor donors, letterwinners and student-athletes.

Social Media - The Bear Foundation maintains a presence on Facebook (Baylor Bear Foundation) and Twitter (@BearFoundation). Follow us to keep up with student-athlete and athletic success and important Bear Foundation and ticket deadlines.

EXCLUSIVE EVENTS

Breakfast with The Bears - Introduced in the fall of 2015, Breakfast with the Bears is a free event open to all members. This breakfast is held at McLane Stadium's Baylor Club and features a continental breakfast, along with a panel of student-athletes from in-season sports. "Voice of the Bears" John Morris typically hosts the event. Check email regularly for your invitation to this fun event.

Donor Appreciation Watch Party - Each fall, all members are invited to our annual Donor Appreciation Watch Party where they have the opportunity enjoy one of Baylor's away football games from the field or stands at McLane Stadium as the game plays on the big scoreboard screen. The event is free to Bear Foundation members and their immediate family. Members are welcome to bring a guest for a small additional fee.

Championship Club Dinner - The most exclusive of our annual events, the annual Championship Club Dinner is by invitation only to our Championship Club members. The 2015 event was held on the grounds of Chip and Joanna Gaines' farmhouse and featured a Q&A with the Baylor alums and stars of HGTV's Fixer Upper. In 2016, our members enjoyed a "Best of Waco" dinner on the historic Waco Suspension Bridge.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS

Bear Foundation members at the Young Alumni, Warrior Bear, Kodiak level and higher receive two membership cards in their mailed membership packets. Membership cards will get Green Bear level and higher members access to the Stone Room before home Men's and Lady Bears' basketball games. Additionally, the cards provide members with expedited access to the Baylor Sports Network's Tailgate at all Baylor home football games as well as special offers from local partners. FOOTBALL

BBF HOME FOOTBALL GAME DAY CONCIERGE: (254) 640-5054

Baylor Bear Foundation members with time-sensitive game day questions such as parking passes, ticket issues, etc., may call (254) 640-5054 starting approximately 6 hours prior to kickoff for immediate assistance. This Bear Foundation off-site concierge service will be conveniently located near McLane Stadium at Hotel Indigo in downtown Waco (211 Clay Avenue). Bear Foundation members may also utilize this concierge service to leave tickets or parking for friends and family. As a reminder, third party ticket will call at McLane Stadium is prohibited.

PARKING

All Bear Foundation reserved parking lots for game days have been allocated. There are four lots found directly on the stadium grounds (Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4). Lots 1 and 2 are assigned reserved spaces, while Lots 3 and 4 are non-reserved first-come, first-served parking (with parking credential). Bear Foundation parking is also found at the Ferrell Center, Dutton Parking Garage, Speight Garage and Umphrey Law School. To prevent any lot from being oversold, lost parking passes will not be replaced. You must have a parking pass stub to get into the lot.

McLANE STADIUM TICKETS

Your Bear Foundation membership gets you access to Baylor Football season tickets. Thanks to overwhelming support, we continue to fill McLane Stadium each season to support our student-athletes. For information about purchasing Baylor Football season tickets for 2017 or future seasons, please contact the Baylor Ticket Sales Center at (254) 710-6446..

McLANE STADIUM PREMIUM AREAS

Suites, Loge Boxes and Baylor Club Seating: Access to these areas is limited to ticket holders for those areas exclusively. Entrance into these areas does not require a Baylor Club (ClubCorp) membership on game days and members of the Baylor Club who do not hold tickets to one of these areas will not have access to these premium areas on game days. A Bear Foundation representative will be located at a courtesy table inside the Club/ Loge entrance to assist with game day needs for Suite, Loge and Club seat holders.

BASKETBALL

BASKETBALL SEASON TICKET SALES

Bear Foundation members may purchase 2017-18 Men's or Women's Basketball season tickets by contacting the Baylor Ticket Sales Center at (254) 710-6446. Only Bear Foundation members are eligible for premium season tickets (lower bowl, row 15 and below).

BASKETBALL SINGLE-GAME PREMIUM SEATS

As a Bear Foundation member, you are able to purchase single-game seats to Baylor Men's and Women's Basketball in the premium seating areas at a discounted rate ($20 off general public pricing for premium seating).

Inventory is limited and ticket limits may apply. Single-game tickets will go on sale in early November. To order, please contact the Ticket Sales Center at (254) 710-6446. If premium tickets are available on game day, they may be purchased at the ticket window by presenting your Bear Foundation Membership Card. Tickets must be purchased using your existing Ticket Office Account associated with your Foundation membership.

3. BEAR FOUNDATION SEAT MAINTENANCE POLICY

SEASON TICKET RENEWAL PROCESS

Each year, members who hold football and/or basketball seats will receive a ticket renewal notice from Baylor Athletics. During this time, members can request upgrades or changes. Requests will be addressed after the renewal deadline. You will be contacted based on ranking and our ability to accommodate your request. Any additional payment required for tickets or seat options will be settled at that time. More information about renewal timelines will be provided in January 2018.

ADDING OR UPGRADING SEATS

Football " Bear Foundation members members planning to participate in the 2018 McLane Stadium seat selection and relocation process must remain in good standing with the Bear Foundation. You must, at a minimum, maintain the 2017-18 Bear Foundation giving level used to establish your ranking in order to keep existing seats, request upgrades, and/or add seats in future seasons. Those who decrease or discontinue their membership may be subject to relocation based on demand and are not eligible for upgrade requests or additional seats.

Basketball " Members holding premium seats for men's and/or women's basketball will be required to stay in good standing with the Bear Foundation (maintaining the same level of contribution) to keep existing seats, request upgrades or add seats.

4. MANAGING YOUR ACCOUNT

ONLINE DONORNET ACCOUNT

DonorNet is the Bear Foundation's online giving portal, which allows members greater access to their personal giving history and membership information.

DonorNet allows you to:

  • Easily make an online gift to the Bear Foundation or increase pledge amount
  • Schedule payment plans or make full payment for annual BBF commitment
  • View your current priority ranking and points
  • Check your BBF giving history (since 1994)
  • Quickly access your Baylor Ticket Account
  • Make account, address and contact information changes
  • Manage email preferences

If you haven't already, you can activate your account with your AD number and the email address associated with your Bear Foundation membership account. Just select "I am an Existing Bear Foundation Member" to get started. For assistance, please don't hesitate to contact the Bear Foundation office.

PAYMENT METHODS

Members may make both automatic and one-time contributions via a credit card, a debit card, payroll deduction (for Baylor employees) or a bank initiated bill pay plan.

  • For members utilizing a bank bill pay plan, you will need to contact your financial institution to set up a Bear Foundation-related payment schedule.
  • For members wishing to set up or update credit card/debit card information for an automatic payment plan; please call the Bear Foundation's main line at (254) 710-2582.
  • If you are using the auto-payment option, please ensure your pledge is completed in full by May 31, 2018..

The Bear Foundation is unable to allow members to make contributions via cash, automatic bank drafts, IRA distributions and donor advised funds. If you have questions pertaining to acceptable forms of payment, please contact the Baylor Bear Foundation prior to submitting a contribution.

MATCHING GIFTS

While the Bear Foundation will accept matching gifts for membership contributions, it is the responsibility of the Bear Foundation member to contact their employer's matching gift department prior to committing to a matching gift. Many companies that match to charitable organizations do not do so to divisions within those organizations that provide benefits (such as sporting tickets and parking) for membership. Please visit with your employer to confirm this procedure.

BILLING CYCLE /BILLING REMINDERS

The Bear Foundation's membership year (fiscal year) runs from June 1 through May 31. All pledges must be completed in full prior to the end of the fiscal year. If you establish an automated payment plan, you will receive a Baylor University gift receipt each time you make a payment that you may keep for your records and tax purposes. Payment plans do not automatically renew at this time, so you will be asked to contact the Bear Foundation to schedule payments each new membership year.
