Graduate Students
Compete for the Ultimate Internship!
Students apply for different roles on an i5 team according to their interests and academic qualifications. As an MBA candidate, IP Law student or other post-graduate applicant, you will have the chance to be selected as an intern in one of the partnering multinational corporations which sponsor the projects and then lead an international team to complete that project.Selections for the intern positions depend on the information you give on the Personal Statement portion of the application, your academic record and resume, and an interview with i5 Faculty. To be considered for an intern position, we must receive your completed application by January 16, 2013. Interviews will be in mid- February.
The top 4 interns will receive $6000 in scholarships, which pays for the complete program, including travel and all living expenses for the summer.
The next 4 interns will receive $4000 in scholarships, which pays for the program, but not the airfare.
After those positions are filled, the remaining interns will receive $2000 off their total cost for the program and be responsible for the balance.
Once selected for an intern position, you must LOGIN to Bearsabroad and complete the i5 Flight Reservation form and turn it in with your first payment of $2400 due on January 16, 2013. This payment includes a $400 deposit to secure your seat on the flight.
Graduate students travel dates are May 31, 2013 - August 10, 2013. You spend the first month learning the program in a workshop environment then spending time with your company project sponsor to glean as much as you can from them about their company goals and objectives, the scope of the project, and the sponsors expectations. You will also begin some preliminary research in preparation for designing the strategy for your team.
Your team members arrive July 3rd and you will have some time for team building on the Yangtze River Cruise!
