Art - Digital Photography Lab

The Art Department's Digital Photography Lab, located in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center, recently underwent a significant transformation from what was previously a handful of computers assembled in a confined space to a larger, renovated room, complete with 12 Macintosh workstations and multiple printers dedicated to digital photography.

Professor Susan Dunkerley has been able to develop the photography courses so that the students can take advantage of the additional equipment available. In this digital environment, students are able to learn with state-of-the-art applications to edit and print their photographic work.

Former student, Zach Nader, recalled taking classes after the renovation: "The new lab changed everything. The computers and printers were similar to what we were seeing in our internships and other professional environments. We were no longer cramped into a tiny space and the instructors have the tools to more effectively teach us."
