Interior Design

What it's all about

The interior design program of study at Baylor University provides the student with a knowledge base in design theory, experience in creative expression and critical thinking, and the technical skills needed to serve in a diverse and global marketplace espousing academic excellence and Christian integrity.

You might take classes such as:

  • Fundamentals of Interior Design
  • Interior Design Graphics
  • Building Systems and Codes for Interiors
  • 3D CAD and Computer Rendering
  • Interior Design Studios in Residential and Commercial Design

Graduates of this major go on to:

  •  work for design or architectural firms in specialized areas of design such as hospitality, healthcare or corporate design
  •  careers in various facets of residential design, from a turnkey residential project to material and finish selections and/or designing for populations with special needs
  •  sales positions with industry partners and graduate programs in design, architecture, architectural history or historic preservation
