Biblical and Related Languages

What it's all about

This program focuses on languages from the Bible as well as historical text relating to the Bible. Biblical language researchers use contexts and evolving meanings of words to determine if Biblical and historical translations are still accurate. Students are required to take at least two languages.

Graduates of this major go on to:

• teach
• attend graduate school or seminary
• work in churches
