City presents weeklong Waco Wonderland Christmas celebration

Waco is growing with new life and excitement, and nowhere is that more evident than downtown and along the river corridor. In the midst of this revival, the City of Waco will host Waco Wonderland--a week-long downtown Christmas celebration--from November 30-December 7.

Waco Wonderland is the first of what will become an annual event for the community. Events will take place at Heritage Square and along Austin Avenue from City Hall to 8th Street, and will include:

  • Tree Lighting and Fireworks
  • Sunday Funday
  • Cowboy Christmas
  • Food Drive
  • Bad Sweaters, Good Spirits
  • Toy Drive
  • Concert in the Park
  • Downtown Parade

Most of the events are free, but the following events carry a charge:

  • Ice Skating Rink (synthetic ice): $5 per 45-minute session
  • Pictures with Santa: Packages start at $10
  • Take a Carriage Ride: $5 per ticket
