With honors: 2011-12 Baylor University Meritorious Achievement Award Winners

Baylor University alumni and friends from all over the globe make significant contributions to society in many forms. In winter 2010 the university launched a comprehensive program of awards that acknowledges the distinctive mission of Baylor University and recognizes those who achieve success in a manner consistent with that mission. The first recipients were honored at Homecoming in October 2010. Following are the recipients for 2011-12, including the addition of two new awards.

Alumnus of the Year
Graduate who has demonstrated remarkable achievement in the previous year
Michael Lindsay, BA '94
Young Alumnus of the Year
Graduate age 40 or under who has demonstrated remarkable achievement in the previous year

Baylor Legacy Award
Individuals who demonstrate extraordinary service and philanthropy to Baylor or causes that fit the university's mission
Joe, LLB '49, & Barbara Allbritton
Baylor Legacy Award
Individuals who demonstrate extraordinary service and philanthropy to Baylor or causes that fit the university's mission

Individual whose broad contributions to Christian ministry have made an immeasurable impact

Individual whose contributions in furthering the mission of Baylor have made an immeasurable impact in the public or non-profit sector
