Just before the 2011 football season opener, Baylor Athletics launched BU-RG3.com, an informative and interactive site to promote quarterback Robert Griffin III for the Heisman Trophy.
Baylor football opened the 2011 season in style, defeating No. 14 TCU 50-48 in front of a packed house and a national ESPN audience on Sept. 2.
The night before this issue went to press, members of the Big 12 Conference Board of Directors (comprised of presidents and chancellors from each institution) announced their renewed commitment to the league and that discussions are underway on specific actions that will further strengthen the conference.
When our last issue went to press, the book hadn't quite closed on the 2010-11 school year. Now it's official: the year was perhaps the best in Baylor athletic history.
Baylor's men's and women's tennis teams have clearly established themselves among the nation's elite programs. Soon, their already impressive facilities will position the programs to both win and host future NCAA championships.
