IN 1899, A RIVALRY WAS BORN...
In 1895, both Baylor and TCU called Waco home. So, it's no surprise that their first football face-off in 1899 sparked a contest that would become one of the longest-standing rivalries in all of college football history. (Even the nation's first recorded Homecoming football game in 1909 featured Baylor and TCU.)
Though a massive fire in the heart of TCU's campus led the university to relocate to Fort Worth in 1910, the competition never faded. Now both in the Big 12, the rivalry continues once again-and has become an I-35 Battle Royale as each team's fans fight for bragging rights.
TCU has challenged Baylor to a test of loyalty and action. Between October 25 and November 22, young alumni have the opportunity to show their Baylor pride. Every young alum (graduates between 2003 and 2013) who makes a gift will be counted as part of a competition. The first university to have 10% of young alumni to participate gets bragging rights for the 2013 Baylor-TCU Battle Royale.
To win, we need YOU and 2,699 other young alumni to make a gift. Every gift, regardless of size, counts.
