Associated Press: Baylor football back on campus after 8 decades

The Baylor Bears football team will play home games on campus for the first time since 1936, beginning with the season debut of McLane Stadium on Sunday. After 64 seasons at Floyd Casey Stadium, located about four miles from campus, fan anticipation for games at the new $266 million campus stadium is high. Baylor football coach Art Briles and student-athletes Levi Norwood, Bryce Petty and Troy Baker are quoted.

According to a new study by James Roberts, Ph.D., The Ben H. Williams Professor of Marketing in Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business, female college students spend an average of 10 hours a day on their cellphones, and male students spend about eight hours on them. “As cellphone functions increase, addictions to this seemingly indispensable piece of technology become an increasingly realistic possibility,” Roberts said. KWTX: Baylor School of Education Reaches Out to Area Schools

VIDEO: Baylor’s School of Education celebrated its Midway ISD Professional Development School (PDS) campuses on Thursday by presenting specialty Baylor signage to its two new partner PDS campuses and to Midway High School, which has been a PDS for five years. The two new schools are Spring Valley Elementary and Midway Middle School. The Baylor School of Education has had a PDS partnership in the community for more than 20 years, but the special three-foot signs were developed last year. (Tonya Lewis, assistant director of Baylor Media Communications, covers the School of Education.)
