You may see your academic advisor any time.
You may be required to be advised before your assigned early registration date each semester. Even if your advisement is recommended and not required before registration for classes, it is a good idea to touch base with your advisor to make sure you are on track to meet your expected academic goals.
Early Registration occurs each fall (October – November) and spring semester (March – April) for current students. The term, “early,” refers to a practice at Baylor for students to register course schedules for the next semester by classification, beginning with graduate students and following through freshman students. The advising period covers September – November for fall semester and February – April for spring semester.
Most departments begin making advising appointments early because of the large number of students needing advisement. Departments and programs may vary on the actual date to begin appointment-making for advising and they will send messages to notify students with specific instructions. Students should always access BearWeb to determine their assignments and contact information for academic advising each semester.
