Log into Bear Web - Student Services & Financial Aid - Advisement - Advisement Contact Information to verify that your major is listed correctly, determine if advising is required or recommended, and find your assigned advisor(s).

VERIFY YOUR MAJOR!
It is very important that your major is correct so that your assigned advisor(s) will also be correct. If you need to update your major, go to Getting Advised - I Need to Change My Major. Follow the change of major procedures or call Academic Advisement at 254-710-7280 for more information.

YOUR ADVISING FLAG!
It is also important that your major is correct in Bear Web so your academic advisor will have access to set your advising flag allowing you to register for classes. Your advisor will be unable to set your flag for you if your major is listed incorrectly.

Students now have the option via Bear Web to grant temporary advising access to a selected advisor other than the person or department currently listed as their advisor. Go to Bear Web, then Student Services & Financial Aid, then Advisement, then Select a Temporary Advisor.

Any time you make a change to your major and/or program, refer to Student Services & Financial Aid - Advisement - Advisement Contact Information in Bear Web again to verify that all information is correct.
