As a third generation Baylor Bear, Garrett Peery never had any question of where he would go to college. As a child, Garrett remembers his parents singing him to sleep to the Baylor Line and taking him to football games. To say it simply, Baylor was in his blood.
During his time as a student, Garrett participated in Student Foundation, an organization dedicated to serving Baylor. After his junior year, Garrett was elected to the steering committee as the co-chair for the Campus Promotions committee. In this role, he oversaw several Baylor events, including Freshmen Follies, Fall Festival and the Bearathon. "It was a great way to get involved, and I loved giving back to Baylor," Garrett said.
Outside of Student Foundation, Garrett was involved in the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC) program in the Honors College. As a member of the leadership council, Garrett helped plan community-building activities for the program.
After graduating, it was a natural fit for Garrett to work as an Admissions Counselor. "When I heard about the opportunity to serve Baylor and the students, I knew it was what I wanted to do," Garrett said. "This is a great place to go to school and call home for four years."
