Education Concentration for Physics/Mathematics Majors

The Education Concentration for Physics/Mathematics Majors is a minor that leads to a secondary grade level certification (grades 7-12). This minor requires students to complete 31 hours of study. This program is for students who want to teach Physics and/or Mathematics at the Secondary Level, but want to major in Physics instead of Secondary Education.

Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study, but students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major or may choose to pursue an area of academic interest completely outside their major.

Required courses for this minor include Teaching in Secondary Schools, Secondary Science Practicum and a Teaching Internship, among others.
