The Recreation Ministry minor requires students to complete 18 hours of study. This includes 12 hours of upper-level courses. Students take an equal number of Religion and Recreation and Leisure Services courses. This program is designed to prepare students for ministry who are interested in recreation.
Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study. Students may choose to minor in a field that complements their major. Or, they may choose to pursue an areas of academic interest completely outside their major. For example, a student majoring in Athletic Training with a desire to be involved in ministry may choose to minor in Recreation Ministry.
Courses a student might take include Functions of Ministry, Leisure Service Management, or Introduction to Ministry.
