Nonprofit Studies

The Nonprofit Studies minor is for students interested in studying business without pursuing a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration). Students must complete 18 hours of study within the Hankamer School of Business. This program helps students outside of the business school build a foundation in nonprofit leadership.

Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study.  Students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major.  Or, they may choose to pursue an area of academic interest completely outside their major. For example, a Social Work major hoping to work in the nonprofit sector may choose to minor in Nonprofit Studies.  This helps them gain a business-minded perspective.

There are six courses required to minor in Nonprofit Studies.  Some of these include Nonprofit Marketing, Services Marketing for Nonprofit Organization and Stakeholder Data Management for Nonprofit Organizations.
