Biblical and Related Languages

The Biblical and Related Languages major focuses on languages from the Bible. Students study the foundations of Arabic, Greek and Hebrew and the historical aspects of the languages. Available courses include:

  • Selected Documents from the Hebrew Scriptures
  • Akkadian
  • The Septuagint
  • New Testament
  • Syriac

The Biblical and Related Languages major is most commonly utilized as a precursor to graduate or seminary schooling. Graduates of the major also have gone into teaching, research and to work in churches in various capacities.
