Students graduating with an Arabic and Middle East Studies major can expect to find career opportunities in journalism, international business and industry, government and foreign service, translating and interpreting, consulting, and more. A number of students have also gone on to complete graduate studies in similar areas.
Though not a requirement, students are encouraged study abroad. Arabic and Middle East Studies majors have a unique opportunity to study abroad at the American University in Cairo.
Baylor University also offers several Living-Learning Centers. These LLC's are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together in living and learning environments. Baylor offers a Global Community Living and Learning Center. Although available for all majors and classifications, the Global LLC is ideal for students majoring in a foreign language and wishing to put their skill into practice.
