Real Estate

The Real Estate major is designed to prepare students for the many different careers in real estate as well as provide them the foundation for graduate study in this field. As part of the curriculum, students are introduced to ARGUS Financial Analysis, the real estate industry's leading property analysis software. Upon satisfactory completion of the courses, graduating students will be qualified to take the Texas real estate license examination administered by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). Available courses include:

  • Real Estate Appraisal
  • Real Estate Investments
  • Real Estate Law of Agency and Contracts
  • Urban and Regional Economic Analysis
  • Real Estate Finance

Students graduating with a Real Estate degree find employment opportunities in mortgage banking and brokerage, real estate appraisal, real estate development, real estate management/leasing or commercial/residential/industrial brokerage.

The Hankamer School of Business offers several summer and semester study abroad programs all over the world as well as student exchange programs.
