Marketing

A Marketing major is a comprehensive study of promoting, pricing and placing a product. Students can choose from several tracks: Sales Management, Retail Management, Advertising, Not-for-Profit and Brand Engagement and Promotion. Available courses include:

  • Strategic Brand Management
  • Market Research

A degree in Marketing qualifies graduates for many occupations including: Sales and Customer Service, Product Management, Marketing Research, Advertising, Sales Promotion, Event Marketing and Purchasing. The marketing department also works closely with students to place them in internships, an opportunity that deeply enhances their resume and provides experience in the market place.

In addition to offering a Non-Profit track for marketing majors, the Marketing Department also offers a Nonprofit Studies minor. Recommended for non-business majors, the minor consists of eighteen credit hours and focuses on the operation and management of a nonprofit company. This program is designed specifically to prepare students who already have a major and wish to give themselves flexibility in planning a career by obtaining a foundation in nonprofit leadership.

The Hankamer School of Business offers several summer and semester study abroad programs all over the world as well as student exchange programs. A featured summer program ideal for marketing students is the European Business Seminar.
