International Business

The International Business major is deigned to take the fundamentals taught within the various majors of the business school and apply them in a global setting. Coursework is designed to give students a better understanding of global business enterprises and the communication skills necessary to serve in a multinational market. Available courses include:

  • Doing Business in Different Cultures
  • International Marketing
  • Economic Geography
  • Foreign Exchange Markets and International Monetary Institutions
  • Economic Systems of the World

Career opportunities are available for International Business majors in almost any field. Positions are most common in multinational markets, government agencies, business consulting, the energy industry and banking.

Although not required, a study abroad experience is highly recommended for all International Business students. The McBride Center for International Business offers multiple study abroad opportunities all over the world. The Hankamer School of Business also offers several summer and semester study abroad programs all over the world as well as student exchange programs.

Baylor University also offers several Living-Learning Centers including the Entrepreneurship LLC. These LLC's are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together in living and learning environments.
