Communication Specialist

The Communication Specialist major is a combination of studies in digital media and speech communication. The program is designed for students wishing to hold professional communication positions in corporations. The coursework involves leadership, management, and organizational communication, however, making the Communication Specialist major ideal for students with a variety of career interests. Courses available include:

  • Interviewing
  • Public Speaking
  • Film and Digital Media
  • Small Group Communication

The Communication Department also offers a minor in Corporate Communication. This minor combines courses in the Speech Division and the Film and Digital Media Division of the Communication Studies Department to prepare students for a broad range of communication-related positions in corporate, government, educational, and medical organizations.

The Journalism department also offers study abroad programs for its students including Baylor in London and Baylor in New York.
