The program has a long history of success with students moving on to medical, dental and physical therapy schools, as well as secondary general science educations. Students are also encouraged to volunteer at clinics, hospitals, etc. in order to gain experience in their field of interest.
The School of Education offers several study abroad programs; however, a unique study abroad experience is available for health-related degrees every summer. Baylor in Brazil is a 30 day program in which a group of students travel to several places working with local programs to promote health while taking classes.
Additional international experiences are available to candidates in the School of Education in order to assist them in the understanding of and participation in a global society. The programs are offered in England, Australia, Costa Rica and Hong Kong, and vary from four weeks to a full year, depending on the preference and needs of the students.
