Baylor's first two years of pre-nursing combines liberal arts with natural and behavioral science courses. The two years in Dallas provides students with advanced courses and field experience, preparing them for a professional career in nursing. Clinicals are performed in the Baylor Medical Healthcare System (clinical ratio of faculty to students is 10 to 1). By learning and using the same technology and systems that the Baylor Medical Healthcare System uses, students are competitive in the job market.
Baylor University offers several Living-Learning Centers, which are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together in living and learning environments. Baylor offers a Science and Health Living-Learning Center where students with common interest in pursuing a career in medicine and the sciences will be able to collaborate with each other as well as science faculty and medical researchers.
