Michelle bleeds green and gold. She chose Baylor over the state school she was considering after receiving scholarships from Baylor. "I was also drawn to Baylor's Christian heritage and wanted to enter an environment that would strengthen my faith."
Michelle's favorite tradition at Baylor is having real live bears for mascots. "I've been coming to campus to see the bears since I was a child. I remember seeing them in the Homecoming parade and thinking to myself, 'I'm going to be a Baylor Bear someday!'"
In Waco, Michelle loves to go to Lake Waco with her friends for a relaxing day of fishing and swimming.
Michelle transferred to Baylor from McLennan Community College so she's especially excited to help other MCC transfer students make the transition to Baylor. Her advice to prospective students is to "consider not only if an institution provides a field of study in your area of interest but also offers opportunities for you to actively engage in pursuing your passion."
