Financial Assistance for First-Time International Students

Incoming international students are considered for academic scholarships (the Regents' Gold Scholarship, President's Gold Scholarship, Provost's Gold Scholarship, Deans' Gold Scholarship and Transfer Scholarship). To determine your eligibility for these scholarships, please use the Scholarship Estimate portion of the Scholarship and Cost Estimator tool. The Quick Cost and Detailed Cost portions of the Estimator only apply to students eligible for federal aid.

Additional limited scholarship funding is available for incoming international undergraduate students who do not qualify to apply for federal student aid. To be considered, please submit these items by May 1:

  1. Complete the Baylor International Student Scholarship application form available through your goBAYLOR account after you've been accepted.

  2. Complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.

Furthermore, private student loans that require a credit worthy U.S. citizen as a co-signer may be an additional resource. If you are not a U.S. citizen and do not have permanent resident status with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, you will not be eligible for need-based scholarships, federal and state grants and most student loan programs.

International students whose status allows them to work in the U.S. can also apply for a limited number of on-campus jobs. These positions usually pay minimum wage for up to 20 hours per week.
