B.A. in International Studies, 2006
Hometown: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Kelly spent most of her childhood in Florida but graduated from a private Christian high school in Albuquerque, NM. She chose Baylor because she was looking for a mid-size school with a beautiful campus, an active student life program, and a commitment to integrating faith and learning.
As a Baylor student Kelly was involved in a sorority and competed in intramural sports. She was also very active in a local church. Her favorite thing about Baylor is its rich traditions, specifically Christmas on 5th street and Homecoming. "I love seeing alumni bring their families back to campus, decked out in green & gold. You can just tell that Baylor still feels like home. That feeling of connectedness is what makes me realize I'm part of something much bigger than myself."
Kelly loves Waco for the trail runs in Cameron Park and sunsets at the Waco Dam. "This city is great for active students. Baylor hosts the Bearathon - the toughest half-marathon in Texas - and has a huge running community.
Kelly's advice for prospective students is to do an internship while studying at Baylor. "Baylor has a huge network of alum in Waco, Dallas, Austin and all over the world that love to take Baylor students as interns."
