Josh was born and raised in Whitney, Texas. Josh decided to attend Baylor because of the university's unique ability to intertwine intellect and the Christian faith. "I also value a truly liberal arts education, and I think Baylor offers that better than any other place."

Josh's fondest memories at Baylor usually involved a sporting event. "Whether it is football, basketball or baseball, I love being in the crowd surrounded by my friends. Baylor's sporting events are such an amazing atmosphere, and experiencing that with your friends makes it that much better." Josh's favorite tradition at Baylor is the ring ceremony. He found himself completely astounded by the environment and the event made him even more proud to be a Baylor Bear.

Josh's favorite class at Baylor was Dr. Richard Riley's Public Policy course. Students were able to learn, discuss and debate the hot topics of contemporary politics and it transformed the way Josh approaches public policy decisions. Dr. Riley is also Josh's favorite professor. "I would go in Dr. Riley's office and we would talk for hours about politics. He has such a dynamic, personal way of teaching his students outside of the classroom. He was always willing to discuss any issue I wanted to talk about."

Josh enjoys playing golf, reading and napping. He always blocks off his Sundays from noon until 6:00 pm when PGA events are on TV, but his all-time favorite thing to do is eat.
