Welcome to Academic Advisement

Academic Advisement serves students with less than 30 completed hours and who have majors in Pre-Business, Pre-Social Work, selected majors in the College of Arts and Sciences, and undeclared majors. We offer services designed to help students clarify and fulfill their academic goals and aspirations. In partnerships with students, professional advisors provide assistance with developing academic plans and offer guidance in selecting courses. Advisement staff are available to answer questions and connect students with appropriate resources on campus and beyond.

Advising

Advising Assignment - Determine to whom you are assigned for required advisement.
Advising Preparation - Get the most from your advising appointment by being prepared.
Dual/Transfer Credit - Discover pre-approved courses for transfer to Baylor and become informed on the course approval process for other courses or for out-of state schools.
Credit by Examination (CBE) - Find information on earning credit through AP, IB, SAT II, CLEP, Departmental, and other examinations.
Placement Exams - Learn where to take placement exams, when placement exams are required.
Change of Degree/Major/Minor - Ascertain the proper place to make desired changes to your degree plan.
Academic Resources - Locate resources for both general academic improvement and also for help in specific disciplines.
Pre-Professional Programs - Benefit from the various preparation programs for careers in the health and legal fields.
