The Allbritton Art Institute is an integral part of Baylor University's Department of Art program and is responsible for several enrichments and activities, which, without its support, would not be possible.

  • Eligible students studying within the framework of the Institute participate in international, national, and regional field trips. Since 1998, the Institute has sponsored field studies to Austria, England, France, Italy, The Netherlands; Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC; and Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Marfa and San Antonio in Texas.
  • Each year, the Institute sponsors a distinguished guest lecturer in art history. Dr. Alan Wallach will present "Cole, Church, and the Panoramic Landscape: a perspective on the Hudson River School, the first generation of American landscape painters" on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center, Room 149.
  • Go to the Events page for upcoming and past event information.

  • Lucy Crenshaw is the 2012-13 recipient of a scholarship awarded each academic year by the Institute.
