1. Locate Your Baylor ID Number
Your Baylor ID is the 9-digit number that you will use for all of your years here, so you might as well get acquainted with it! You can obtain your
Baylor ID Number here.
2. Pay Your Enrollment Deposit
To ensure your spot at Truett, you will need to pay the
$300 enrollment deposit. This deposit will be applied to your student account and reduces balance owed during financial settlement. You have two options on how to pay your enrollment deposit:
- Pay online: Students can log into their BearWeb account and pay by credit card. Click here to pay online.
- Pay by check: Students should mail a check or money order in the amount of $300 to:

3. Seek and Receive Financial Information
Check out the
financial information on the Truett website including estimated costs, Truett scholarship awards, outside scholarship opportunities, church matching, and need-based aid. After paying your enrollment deposit, you will receive a scholarship award letter from Truett Seminary. You will also receive an award notification from
Student Financial Services. The
financial aid website and
FAQs are also helpful. Their office can assist with all questions regarding new or deferred loans.
4. Activate Your Bear_ID and Check Your Baylor Email
This ID, along with your password, gives you access to
your Baylor email account, as well as any campus computer. Please note: you will not be able to activate your
Bear_ID until your deposit has been processed. After your Bear_ID has been activated, please begin checking your Baylor email on a regular basis, as you will begin to receive emails from several different offices here at Truett.
5. Set Up Your BearWeb Account and Register for Classes
BearWeb is the online service that students utilize to register for classes, check final grades, look at your transcript, and access your time-card (if working on campus). Once you have set up your account, you will be able to register for classes for the upcoming semester. For detailed information on registering for classes, please visit the

6. Sign Up For Truett Orientation
Orientation is required for
ALL incoming students at Truett Seminary.
A registration form and schedule is now available.
7. Answer the Covenant Group Questionnaire
Please take a few minutes to fill out
this short questionnaire which will help us in placing you in a compatible Covenant Group by the start of the upcoming semester. Don't know what a Covenant Group is? Find the answer on the
the Spiritual Formation website and take a moment to read
a letter from Spiritual Formation.
Additional Items
Submit Your Completed Health Form
Before beginning class, you must
submit the completed health form to the Health Services office. You will need to make an appointment with your doctor, so don't wait!
Please be aware that a new state law was enacted January 1, 2012 that states ALL new students under the age of 30 must show proof of meningococcal vaccination within the last 5 years at least 10 days prior to the first class day. Additional details are available at the
Baylor Health Services page.
Obtain your Baylor Student ID
Baylor University's ID card is a single-card program that combines many features including identification, library privileges, building access, lab access, meal plans, selected student functions, football ticket distribution, debit card, plus other activities. The ID card office is located on the 1st floor of Robinson Tower just across from the Baylor Cashier's Office. You must
obtain your student ID card before the semester begins.
Pay Your Balance and Confirm Attendance
Baylor University will send an e-bill to your Baylor email account.
Financial settlement is a two-part process that you will need to complete. It involves your paying the balance on your student account
and confirming your attendance. Learn more about financial settlement, payment options, and university deadlines on the
Cashier’s website. If you have questions about your Truett scholarship reflected on your bill, contact
Scholarship Services at Truett Seminary.
Submit FAFSA
To be considered for need-based financial aid, students will need to
complete and submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) prior to enrollment in the fall semester. The FAFSA is based on a couple different factors; therefore, even if you think your family may not qualify, it is highly recommended to still file for FAFSA.
Advanced Standing
Advanced Standing is credit given to incoming students for introductory courses including Introduction to Christian Scriptures, Introduction to Christian History, Introduction to Christian Theology, and the introductory courses of Greek and Hebrew. Students may qualify for advanced standing if they graduated with a degree in religion and maintained at least a “B” average.
Parking Options
If you would like to park in designated student parking areas on campus
you must purchase one of the following parking permits for the academic year.
- Student On Campus Parking Permit: $300
- Student East Campus Garage Permit: $200
- Student Ferrell Center (Day Parking): $150
You can order your student parking decal online by simply clicking on the Permit Direct button on the Parking Services website. This fee will be charged directly to your Baylor account. Parking stickers can be picked up in Parking and Transportation Services offices on the first floor of the Clifton Robinson Tower.
Campus Transportation
The Baylor University Shuttle (BUS) offers 3 different routes that travel around the Baylor campus. Visit the
BUS website for route and other area transit information.
Housing Options
Truett Seminary students have several
options for housing. We maintain a list of both houses and apartments that are available for students to rent as well as a list of students who are seeking roommates. Both of these lists are located in the
Housing Options section of the Truett website.
The Quadrangle is another option for off campus housing for graduate students. (Note: In order to access this section of the Truett website, you must first activate your Bear ID.
Buying Textbooks
Once you have registered for classes, you can visit the Baylor Bookstore in person (located in the 5th Street parking complex) or online at the
Baylor Bookstore Website to purchase your textbooks.
Moving to Waco
If you are moving to Waco and would like
moving assistance into your new place, please fill out the
Move In Assistance Form and we will be happy to help you with the process of getting settled into your new home or apartment.
Update Your Contact Information
Help us by providing an update of your local address, phone and/or cell phone numbers, and contact information in case of an emergency. After you log into
BearWeb, you will be able to fill out this information in the Personal Information section.
