Describe Baylor in One Word:
Fulfilling
Why Statistics?
I have always enjoyed the way that numbers can be used to explain things about the real world. I feel that this program will certainly prepare me for a career in an everchanging discipline such as biostatistics, which attempts to find solutions to the complex problems of our world.
Why Baylor?
I grew up in Austin and have always loved working with numbers. I visited Baylor once when I was looking at colleges and fell in love with the campus and the atmosphere that Baylor provides its students.
Unique Aspects:
The focus that is put on students and their success is really what drew me to the graduate program at Baylor. Professors really strive to challenge students and push them to do their best.
Faculty:
The faculty at Baylor are always available and willing to assist in whatever way they can, making sure that we are challenged yet motivated to do high quality work.
Baylor Community:
The community in our department as well as Baylor allows you to find your unique niche.
Surprises at Baylor:
Originally coming into the graduate program I expected it to be very similar to my undergraduate experience at Baylor, however I have been surprised at what a fulfilling endeavour the program has been for me.
Recommend Program?
Yes- this program is an amazing opportunity that allows students to develop and explore their interests.
