Why a BSEd @ Baylor School of Education?

National Recognition:

Baylor SOE’s program is accredited nationally, in addition to state accreditation. Baylor was cited as a “leading edge program” for clinical teacher preparation in a national study.

High Quality:

Graduates’ pass rate on the state-mandated exam averages 99 percent. And Baylor teacher candidates and programs have been recognized recently by the Quest for Quality program.

Clinical Experience:

Baylor teacher candidates gain deep confidence through six semesters of faculty-guided fieldwork, beginning the freshman year.

Engaged Faculty:

SOE faculty members are committed to teaching research-based instruction and classroom management. The low student-faculty ratio means students develop meaningful mentor relationships with faculty.

Making a Difference:

As a Baylor education student, you will be part of the instructional program in a real school setting during your first year. This early clinical experience helps you both confirm your calling to be an educator and begin to fulfill it immediately.
