Dr. Linda Olafsen traveled to Washington, DC to participate in the Fourteenth Annual Science-Engineering-Technology Congressional Visits Day (SETCVD) April 28-29, 2009. She participated in this event as a member of the Materials Research Society, one of 35 professional, scientific,and engineering societies, higher education associations, institutions of higher learning, trade associations, and individual companies visiting Capitol Hill to speak to members of Congress about the importance of science and technology for the nation's future.
