The 2014 APS Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics: Deadline for students to sign-up is November 1, 2013

Louisiana State University hosts one of eight APS-sponsored Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) in January 2014. The conferences are three-day regional conferences for undergraduate physics majors. The 2014 conferences will run Friday evening, January 17 through Sunday afternoon, January 19, 2014. Students must apply by November 1, 2013 for consideration. Visit this site for more info.

APS Minority Scholarship: Application Opens November 1, 2012

The APS Scholarship for Minority Undergraduate Physics Majors was established to increase the number of minority students who obtain a degree in physics. Any high school senior, college freshman or sophomore who is an African American, Hispanic American, or Native American U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident, is eligible to apply. APS/IBM Research Internships for Undergraduate Women: Deadline is February 1, 2013

APS and IBM co-sponsor a research internship program for undergraduate women. The goal is to encourage women students to pursue graduate studies in science and engineering. The internships are salaried positions typically 10 weeks long at one of three IBM research locations (San Jose, CA, Austin, TX, or Yorktown Heights, NY), and give the opportunity to work closely with an IBM mentor. Department of Energy Scholars Program: Deadline is January 4, 2013

The Department of Energy (DOE) Scholars Program is now accepting applications for Summer 2013. The program offers unique opportunities that introduce students or post-graduates to the agency's mission and operations. Participants in the DOE Scholars Program gain a competitive edge as they apply their education, talent and skills in a variety of scientific research settings within the DOE complex.
