Associate Professor of Ensembles
Dr. ALAN RAINES is the Mary Gibbs Jones Professor of Music, Director of Choral Activities and Chair of the Ensemble Division at Baylor University. A frequent clinician, Raines has guest conducted all-state and honor choirs, both professional and community choruses and given presentations in over 35 states. A recipient of the M.M. and D.M.A. degrees in Choral Conducting at UCLA, Raines served as the Assistant Conductor of the Angeles Chorale while as a student of Donald Neuen. Dr. LYNN GACKLE is currently Professor of Ensembles and Associate Director of Choral Activities at Baylor University (Waco, TX) where she conducts the Baylor Bella Voce (Select Women’s Ensemble) and the Baylor Concert Choir. Professor of Church Music
Dr. RANDALL BRADLEY is Professor of Church Music at Baylor University and Director of the Church Music Program and the Center for Christian Music Studies where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in church music and directs the Baylor University Men's Choir. He holds the BME Degree from Troy State University, Troy, Alabama; and the MM Degree in Conducting and the DMA Degree in Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. ~ MORE...
Lecturer in Choral Activities
Ms. DINAH MENGER has been named to a one-year position as Visiting Lecturer in Ensembles at Baylor University, where she will direct three of the School of Music’s choral groups-Women’s Choir, Chamber Singers and VirtuOSO. Prior to coming to Baylor, Ms. Menger served eighteen years as Director of Choirs at Arlington High School, overseeing 350 students in 9 performing ensembles, 2 assistants and 3 voice instructors. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Texas State University.
Professor Emeritus/Past Director of Choral Activities
Dr. DONALD BAILEY - Past Director of Choral Activities and a Professor Emeritus in the School of Music where he conducted the A Cappella Choir, Chamber Singers, and taught choral conducting for almost fifteen years. His choirs have appeared with the Rochester (NY) Philharmonic Orchestra, the Buffalo (NY) Philharmonic, the Phoenix (AZ) Symphony Orchestra, the El Paso (TX) Symphony Orchestra, the Lubbock (TX) Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of Santa Fe (NM). ~ MORE...
