Welcome to the Baylor School of Music, a place where future professionals are nourished and trained. It is a place for serious musicians who are resolute about pursuing new frontiers and who are not afraid to challenge musical conventions.

Baylor School of Music is a comprehensive program

providing a thorough background of music training based on an understanding of history, theory, and practical application in the various fields of music;

offering performance experiences of the highest quality;

enhancing the intellectual and cultural life of the community.

The Baylor School of Music consists of approximately 400 students studying with over 60 full-time faculty members and up to 20 supplemental professional adjuncts. We are large enough to offer a comprehensive program in virtually all aspects of music, yet small enough to devote individual attention to each student.

We invite you to join us at a concert, tour the facilities, listen to our music, meet our faculty, and read about our talented alumni.

Baylor School of Music - Introducing the power, majesty, and joy of music to the community and to Baylor students from every walk of life.

The Baylor University School of Music provides transformational experiences that prepare students for careers in music. Our students thrive in a Christian environment characterized by a nurturing resident faculty, an unwavering pursuit of musical excellence, a global perspective, dedication to service, and devotion to faith. They investigate the rich musical and cultural heritage of the past, develop superior musical skills and knowledge in the present, and explore and create new modes of musical expression for the future. While preparing for future leadership roles, our students join with School of Music faculty in enhancing the quality of community life, enriching the larger culture, and making Baylor a place in which heart, mind and soul coalesce.

The School of Music of Baylor University is a member of the National Association of Schools of Music and the Texas Association of Music Schools. Degree programs leading to the bachelor of music education degree conform to certification requirements of the Texas Education Agency.
