MSSA

MSSA at Bob BullockThe smaller size of the Museum Studies department provides students an excellent opportunity to get to know one another. Museum Studies students are very active in volunteering and in participating in student activities on campus.

The Museum Studies Student Association (MSSA) is open to Museum Studies majors, both undergraduate and graduate, as well as any student interested in museums. Attending MSSA meetings provides students with a chance to learn about volunteer opportunities in local museums, hear guest speakers from the museum profession, and just have fun socializing with other students who share a love of museums.

MSSA members also take several field trips each semester to nearby museums. Recent trips include the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin and the Bell County Museum in Belton. Both these trips included a "behind the scenes" tour given by museum administration.

Please visit the MSSA website for more information.
