Amanda Hill Enjoys Affecting Change Through PR at the Texas Farm Bureau
Amanda Hill credits her internships for helping her achieve her place in the PR industry. Those are key to success.
Hill, the associate editor at the Texas Farm Bureau, was an active member on campus. She held leadership positions during her time spent at Baylor, and began her PR career in Dallas. Hill will be receiving her MBA from the University of Texas - Austin in July 2012.

Recent Baylor Grad Kate Williams Shines in the PR Industry

That's how Professor Carol Perry describes former Baylor student, Kate Williams.
Williams graduated from Baylor University in May 2011 majoring in political science and public relations. Very active on campus, in the journalism department and internships, Williams has excelled in public relations and is working at a firm in Dallas.
Amanda Molleur Takes Baylor Skills to Workplace
Amanda Molleur works as a marketing coordinator for Bury+Partners in Austin. As a recent Baylor graduate, Molleur says that she feels well prepared in the workplace, thanks to the journalism department.
Molleur wears several hats on the job. As marketing coordinator, she works on a team with four other girls, and together they support the engineers and designers at the firm. The job includes cranking out press releases, social media content, email marketing campaigns, as well as planning social events and coordinating tradeshow exhibits and event sponsorships.
Jordan Lloyd: Baylor alumna speaks for past professor
Baylor alumna, Jordan Lloyd, spoke to students on Feb. 6 in the same classroom where she studied just two years ago at Baylor University.
Lloyd, a communication specialist for the marketing department at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen, provided students with insight on making the transition from the classroom to the workforce.
Lloyd came to Baylor University in 2006 to study business, but switched her major to public relations and minored in business.
During her time at Baylor, Lloyd held internships with the Baylor Roundup yearbook and the Wacoan magazine that helped sharpen her overall business skills. Lloyd recommended that if at all possible, the students should obtain internships to gain this vital experience.
Recent Graduate Makes Use of Social Media Skills in Local Corporation
Everyone uses social media. Even corporations focused on restoration and carpet care services. Mandi Clark is the new public relations specialist within the marketing department for Rainbow International. Rainbow is a subsidiary of the Dwyer Group.
"I started on Monday and I work full-time, directly with a marketing manager and a marketing specialist," Clark said. "I am mainly in charge of "reputation management."
Established in 1981, Rainbow International offers restoration and carpet care services through more than 300 locations. The businesses provide restoration services for fire, water, smoke and mold damage.
